I have the coolest Senior primary. I wish I could say that every child loves to sing, but alas, it is not true. That said, however, I have been able to do some amazing things with my senior primary.
One of the songs the Primary Presidency chose for our program in 2009 was He Sent His Son (CS 34 ) We didn't know it would be one of the songs for 2010!!!
It is basically a question and answer song. I asked our Primary President who has a fantastic voice to sing the question and the children answered. It brought tears to my eyes as they sang it. It was so beautiful to have the question asked and the children answer in their sweet little voices.
As a Primary Chorister, my calling is to teach the children through music how to bear their testimonies and today was a home run!
Being a primary chorister is the best job in the world. Where else can you sing, dance, laugh, cry, act silly, jump around, teach the gospel and bring in the spirit in church? This blog is dedicated to my mom who, as a primary chorister, showed me as a child to love the gospel and gain a testimony through music.

Six Days of Music
There are Seven Days in a week. There are Six Days in the Day family. (Hence the title of the Blog!) The seventh day is when you are supposed to rest. That is the day I am the primary chorister. I do anything but rest on that day!
I have been the primary chorister several times in several wards and for several years. I love this calling...I never want to be released from this calling. What other calling can you act, sing, laugh, dance, cry, be silly and still teach the gospel and bring in the spirit. Not only that, but right now I have the BEST primary kids in the world. And the nursery kids think I am a celebrity...why would I every want to be released?
I am going to try and organize my thoughts and ideas about being the primary chorister to not only help myself, but others.
This blog is dedicated to my mom...she taught me everything I know about being an awesome primary chorister and I can only hope one day I can be as good as her. She is the best! She also taught me to love music, to sing and to bear my testimony through primary songs. Thanks Mom! This site is dedicated to YOU!!!! I love you!
